whisper does fit into sonic because wispons originated in sonic forces they are wepaons that utalize wisps and whisper's variable wispon uses multiple whips at once imagine swaping wisps to go from hammer (blue cube wisps), to sniper (cyan laser wisps), to explosive (orange rocket wisps), to floating(green hover wisps), to shooting spikes ( pink spike wisps) it'd be more complicated then regular sonic game play but i can imagine multiple uses for each wisp

The easiest way to get the rail mechanics is crouching makes you go faster but it also makes it easier to fall during turns so to prevent that stop crouching on turns. Also if you see Sonic dangling off the rail push the other direction. Basically push the same direction as the turns on the rails as Sonic will lean right on a left turn and vice versa. Tldr: Crouching= Fast and you have to center Sonic on the rail to not fall off

You probably already found the answer to the question as to why Xion's hood keep switching a lot to up or down, but it's because the POV keep switching between Axel and Roxas. Roxas can see Xion's face, as they're friends, while Axel up to this point has spent little time with her and can only see a replica's face - represented by the hood over her face - and it's only later on that end of the scene where all three of them are talking at the clock tower, when he says he's friends with her, that he starts to see her face!
